this”ll be a quick one as I”m using the net in the Apple store in Beverly Hills and dont want to overstay my welcome!
America is… I dunno, dirty! This is my 4th day in LA this week, all of them pretty hot without being excessive although my hostel has no Air Con. I arrived on Monday from Brisbane, my entire day lasting almost 2!
On Monday I went on a limo ride around Sunset Blvd and Beverly hills, pretty cool. On Tuesday I went Downtown (not much to see there, pretty grubby and unappealing) and then off to Venice Beach (full of homeless people). Wednesday was cool as I went to Universal Studios and met Shrek. I went on the backlot tour and all the rides. Yes, I”m a big kid!
After Universal it was on to San Francisco. This is a pretty cool city, completely different to LA. The climate is different for a start even though it’’s in the same state - something to do with it being a peninsula and cold sea air or something. My first day I wandered around aimlessly and slept for a good few hours. Thursday I went a bay cruise and to Lombard Street - a famous windy street that I remember seeing in Nine Months with Hugh Grant!!!!
Saturday I finished my sightseeing in a whirlwind trip round SF including a walk over the bridge and back and some of the famous shopping areas. I”ve got lots of pics to put up but internet cafes round here are quite steep and hostels dont give you USB access, grr!
I”m off to stroll the shops and have dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe!
