On Thursday night, whilst studying for SEP4, I had the TV on in the background. It’s something I always do, even when watching something else on the computer.
Anyway, it started to flicker on and off and make these odd noises - as if someone was jittering with the cathode ray tube. The standby light was also flashing on and off so, to be on the safe side, I switched the TV off and unplugged it.
Since then I have been without a TV in my bedroom and it sucks. It could’ve been useful about 2 weeks ago when I was studying for Algorithmics or AC mind you…
It’s quite an old TV I got when I was 12. It’s nothing special either. Perhaps it’s an omen that I should branch out into a new widescreen TV. Only time - and wallet - will tell.
